Who we are
Home Hunter Malaysia is operated by Home Hunter Global Group Ltd, company number 17387203, registered office International House, 64 Nile Street, London, N1 7SR. We are the controller of the personal data described here, and, for people in Malaysia, the data user under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
We are an advertising and discovery platform. We connect people looking for property with registered agents. We are not a party to any property transaction, and we are not an estate agent, lawyer, tax adviser or lender.
What we collect
When you browse
- Technical data: IP address, approximate country, device and browser type.
- Pages viewed and search filters used, kept as aggregate tallies.
When you create favourites, saved searches or alerts
- Your email address (and name if you give it), the search you saved, and the listings you favourited. We use these to send the alerts you asked for.
When you send an enquiry or request a viewing
- Your name, email, phone number if given, your message, and the listing you asked about. This is passed to the agent who manages that listing so that they can reply.
If you are an agent
- Name, firm, work email and phone, REA/REN number, billing records, support messages and identity or credential documents supplied for verification.
- Listing content you upload, including photos, videos, descriptions, floor plans and brochures.

Automated helper for uploaded documents
Agents can upload property brochures and documents. We may use an automated assistant to read an uploaded brochure and suggest listing details, which the agent checks and approves before anything is published. This service is provided by Anthropic PBC (United States). Documents are sent to it only to generate suggestions for the agent, are not used to train its models, and are retained by the provider only for a limited period for security and abuse monitoring. We do not use automated processing to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Who receives your data
- The agent you contact, when you send an enquiry or viewing request. Each agent is responsible for the personal data it receives from us. Once an agent receives your enquiry, they handle it under their own obligations, and their own privacy practices apply to what they do with it.
- Our service providers: hosting, email delivery, analytics, payments, and the automated assistant described above.
- Professional advisers, regulators and law enforcement where required by law.
- A successor business, if we are sold or restructured.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your browsing or search history with agents.
Transfers abroad
Our team and some providers are in the United Kingdom and other countries, and agents are in Malaysia. Where personal data is transferred outside Malaysia or the UK, we take steps to ensure it receives a level of protection comparable to that required by the PDPA and UK data protection law, including by using contractual safeguards with our providers.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: 12 months after your last contact with us.
- Saved searches and alerts: until you delete them or unsubscribe.
- Analytics and technical logs: up to 26 months.
- Agent contract and invoice records: 6 years.
- Agent identity documents: deleted once verification is complete. We keep the verification record only.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or limit our use of your data, to object, to withdraw consent, and to receive a copy. In Malaysia the PDPA gives you rights of access and correction and to limit processing. Email info@homehuntermalaysia.com. We aim to reply within one month. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or to the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Commissioner.
