Home Hunter Malaysia is for everyone who is looking for a home in Malaysia, and everyone who helps them find it. We want the site to work for people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, larger text, a different colour scheme, or who find busy pages hard to follow.
Our commitment
We are working to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, level AA. That is the international standard for accessible websites. We check our main pages with automated testing tools and by using them with a keyboard only, and we fix what we find.
The accessibility toolkit
On every page there is a round button with the accessibility symbol in the bottom-left corner. Press it (or tab to it and press Enter) to open the toolkit. It lets you:
- Make text larger, in steps from 100% up to 200%.
- Switch on high contrast (white and yellow on black).
- Switch to an easy-read font (Atkinson Hyperlegible, a free font designed for low-vision readers).
- Use a bigger mouse pointer.
- Pause animations and videos. This is also switched on automatically if your device is set to "reduce motion".
- Underline and highlight every link.
- Have the page read aloud, using your own device's built-in voice. Choose Baca halaman or Baca bahagian, or turn on Baca apabila saya ketik atau fokus so that a button, link, listing detail or section is spoken when you tap or tab to it. Tap a link or button twice to open it while this is on. Berhenti silences it at once.
Your choices are remembered on your own device only. We do not use cookies for this and we do not send your choices anywhere. Tetap semula semua puts everything back to normal.
What is built into the site
- A "Skip to content" link at the top of each page.
- A clear focus outline when you move around with the Tab key.
- Labels on buttons, icons and form fields, and error messages that screen readers announce.
- Text and button colours that meet the required contrast levels.
- Photos with descriptions, and motion that respects your device's reduce-motion setting.
Known limitations
- Some pages use large photo and video sequences. The pause option stops video and animation, but the scrolling story on the home page is still a visual experience. The same information is available on the other pages of the site.
- Maps are visual. Every property also lists its address and area in text.
- Listing photos and videos are uploaded by agents. We ask for descriptions but some may be missing or brief.
- Text-size changes are best on desktop and tablet. On a small phone, your phone's own text-size or zoom setting may work better and we recommend using it.
- The read-aloud voice depends on your browser and device; some do not offer one, and voices for other languages vary.
- Documents that agents upload (such as PDFs) may not be fully accessible.
Tell us about a problem
If something on the site is hard to use, please tell us which page and what device or assistive technology you were using, and we will look at it and, where we can, fix it or offer another way to get the information. You can reach us through the enquiry form on any agent's page, or through the message option in your account if you are signed in. We aim to reply within five working days.
